Primer resin and mortar additive.

ACRIL-FIX LATEX is a whitish liquid, composed of acrylic aqueous-based co-polymers, which is used to add primers on horizontal concrete and mortar surfaces prior to the application of mortars and slurries, and as an additive in mortars to improve its workability and waterproofing mainly.

Characteristics

  • Appearance: Milky liquid.
  • Density at 25ºC: 1.15 kg/l.
  • Non-flammable product.
  • Applicable on wet supports.
  • Ready-to-use product.
  • Easy application.
  • Quick drying.

Uses

  • As a bond between concrete pavements and synthetic mortar coatings such as slurry.
  • Repair of old pavements that require a new compression layer.
  • Improve the characteristics of mortar: adhesion, bending resistance, abrasion, plasticity, waterproofness...

Consumption

  • Depending on the porosity of the surface, an estimated consumption of approximately 200 to 250 gr/m2 is estimated.

Available formats

  • It is supplied in liquid form in a 20 kg plastic container.

Application

  • As a primer:
  • The surface to be treated must be clean, dry, free of dust particles and grease stains.
  • The application will be made by brush, roller, gun or any other painting tool.
  • Before the product has dried, after approximately 30 minutes, apply slurry, mortar or concrete.
  • If you want the surface to be rougher, you can sprinkle silica sand on the fresh product.
  • Water can be added up to 10% to facilitate application if necessary.
  • Mortar preparation:
  • ACRIL-FIX LATEX will be diluted by mixing with water, with a ratio of approximately 1 part resin to 4 of water.
